Cyan meets FY outlook, forecasts further sales growth in year ahead

Cyan reported strong growth for 2025, with revenues up 30 percent to EUR 9.2 million thanks to demand for its cybersecurity products. Sales were at the high end of its forecast, and the company also achieved the upgraded EBITDA outlook, with a result within the forecast range of of EUR 0.75-0.85 million, according to the preliminary results. Cyan said it expects positive EBITDA again this year, with further sales growth to EUR 10.2-11.5 million. The company said it's confident of growing recurring revenues

Ireland is looking at new ways to stop SMS spam and related fraud. ComReg has opened a public consultation on new proposals, including a SMS base filter to use message metadata at the network level to identify potential scammers and block their Sims automatically. In addition, it's looking at imposing a cap on the number of SMS that can be sent in a period of time, and introducing a DNS filter to block access to fraud websites from SMS. Orange Poland said that its CERT blocked 345,000 phishing internet domains in 2025, and some 5.5 million customers trying to access the domains were protected from possible loses of data and money. Orange is adding new tool that can help them check if a website is possibly a phishing front and blocked by Orange.

Portuguese rights group sees signs of progress in fight against digital piracy

There were 1.29 billion visits to piracy websites in Portugal between April 2024 and March 2025, according to a report from FEVIP, the Portuguese Association for the Defence of Audiovisual Works. Despite this high volume, a slight reduction from the previous year suggests that prevention and blocking measures are proving effective in limiting the availability of illegal content, the group said. Authorities blocked approximately 182 million illegal content instances in 2025.

Drone targets Thuraya building in Sharjah

The UAE's Sharjah Government announced that local authorities responded to an incident on 30 March involving the targeting of the Thuraya Communications administrative building in the central region by a drone launched from Iran. The media office said in its official account on X that no injuries were reported, noting that relevant authorities are actively managing the situation. Dutch ISPs report success with pilot anti-phishing shield

Dutch internet providers and the National Cyber Security Centre report positive results from a pilot project blocking access to fraudulent websites. Access to suspicious sites was blocked around 2 million times during the trial of the Anti Phishing Shield.
