Base adds 45,000 net prepaid customers in Q1

Belgian mobile operator Base Company, formally KPN Group Belgium, added 45,000 net prepaid customers and lost 8000 postpaid ones in the first quarter. The total customer base including Wholesale reached 3.5 million at the end of Q1, an increase of 37,000 from Q4. Base estimates its current market share up year-on-year to 20 percent. Mobistar keeps investments high as Q1 revenues slip 1.6%

Mobistar reported first quarter revenues down slightly (-1.6%) to EUR 393 million from 399.4 million the year before, pulled down mainly by the effects of regulation, which amounted to EUR 15 million. The number of active mobile connections rose 6.4 percent to 4,455,229, including 973,937 from its MVNOs (+70.2%), and 70,103 from Orange Luxembourg (-7.6%). Belgian mobile market down 2.3% in 2012

The Belgian mobile operators generated service revenues of EUR 3.5 billion in 2012, according to the latest quarterly report from Telecompaper on the Belgian mobile market. Revenues were down 2.3 percent from 2011, less than the 3.0 percent drop the previous year. Omzet Belgische mobiele markt daalt tot 3,5 miljard euro

De Belgische mobiele operators samen hebben in 2012 een omzet uit diensten behaald van 3,5 miljard euro, blijkt uit het kwartaalrapport van Telecompaper over de mobiele markt in België. Vergeleken met 2011 is dit een daling van 2,3 procent, maar in vergelijking met het jaar daarvoor (2011 vs 2010) is de daling iets minder, aangezien die toen op 3,0 procent lag.
