Currys promotes Nordics business head to Group CEO

UK-based tech and electricals retailer Currys has announced the appointment of Fredrik Tonnesen as its new Group CEO with effect from 03 August 2026. Tonnesen has been CEO of the group's Nordics business, which accounts for around 40 percent of group revenue, since March 2023. He will take over as Group CEO from Alex Baldock, who will leave the Board on 03 August and the company on 31 August 2026.

AT&T is refreshing its home fibre broadband plans to provide customers with a more focused set of plans to suit their needs. From 07 June, customers can choose from four AT&T Fiber speed options - 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 GIG and 5 GIG. Customers bundling home and wireless internet can get fibre broadband from USD 35 per month, and save up to USD 420 a year.

KPN announced a 3.3 percent annual increase in rates for its internet and TV packages from July 2026. Orange Poland offers 6 months' free fixed broadband in Lidl promotion

Orange Poland has introduced a joint promotion with the retail chain Lidl. Customers using the application Lidl Plus will be offered a password, enabling to use free broadband services on a fibre-optical network of the operator for six months. Orange Poland is offering customers using its Nju brand services unlimited voice calls and SMS/MMSs within the country and the EU for PLN 25 monthly. The service also includes a 60 GB data package (8.91 GB when roaming in the EU).Customers are also offered extra data in exchange for agreeing to hear marketing messages.

Polish operator Play, which is part of Iliad, is running a promotion for its XXL package for prepaid customers. Customers can activate the package after making a PLN 50 top-up and use it free for a month. Russian operator MTS has expanded payments using its QR code system to the Philippines. This method is available through the My MTS app using the QR code QRPh from the central bank of the Philippines. Payments can be made from the customer's mobile balance or accounts with Russian banks.

Roku has partnered with the National Hockey League (NHL) to launch the new 'NHL Zone' centralised destination within Roku Sports.
