Beeline Russia adds favourite numbers option

Russian operator Beeline introduced the service Favourite Numbers, offering unlimited calls to up to five telephone numbers. The offer is available for numbers registered on other Russian mobile networks, as well as Beeline lines. New customers are offered a free weekly trial of the service, after which the monthly rate is RUB 290.

Polish MNVO Mobile Vikings announced that its subscriber base has reached the milestone of 200,000. The MVNO counted its first 100,000 customers nine years ago. The MVNO launched in Poland in December 2013 and works on the Play network.

Antik, Lepsia.TV add TV channel Ballcasterz to lineup

Slovak operator Antik has added the football channel Ballcasterz to its pay-TV lineup, reports Zive. The channel is available for subscribers using Antik TV and Antik Sat platforms from the operator. The online TV platform Lepsia.TV has also added the channel Ballcasterz to all three of its pay-TV packages.

Polkomtel signs term sheet with Towerlink, Cellnex

Polish operator Polkomtel has signed a non-binding term sheet with Towerlink Poland and Cellnex Poland laying out the terms of its future cooperation with the infrastructure companies. Under the service agreement, Towerlink will continue to provide Polkomtel with services based on the telecommunications infrastructure owned by Towerlink and controlled by Cellnex (including location-access services, emission services, and transmission services).

MTS offers to buy back smartphones for cash

Russian operator MTS introduced Smart Cash, an offer for customers to sell back smartphones and other electronic goods purchased in shops of the operator. The maximum repayment is 70 percent of the price of the device. The option is available in all regions where MTS operates. Repayment can reach up to 70 percent after six months from acquisition, and up 50 percent starting from the 182th day after acquisition.

Kyivstar grows revenues 31% in Q1

Kyivstar grows revenues 31% in Q1

Revenues of Ukrainian operator Kyivstar, a subsidiary of the Veon Group, totaled USD 323 million in the first quarter of this year, up by 26.6 percent year-on-year. The tunrover amounted to UAH 13.9 billion in the local currency, up by 31.3 percent, while EBITDA rose 28.5 percent to UAH 7.5 billion. The net profit was USD 85 million.

Revenues of T-Mobile Poland totaled PLN 1.855 billion in the first quarter of this year, up by 2.9 percent year-on-year fostered by higher income from both mobile and fixed services. EBITDA AL amounted to PLN 519 million, up by 9.2 percent.

Revenues of T-Mobile Czech Republic totaled CZK 8 billion in the first quarter of this year, up by 3.8 percent year-on-year. EBITDA AL amounted to CZK 3.6 billion, up by 5.8 percent. The subscriber base grew by 1.7 percent to 6.63 million at the end of March.

Poland allocates PLN 1.5 bln in IT subsidies in 2025

The Polish Ministry of Digitisation announced that almost PLN 1.5 billion has been allocated in subsidies for digitisation from the national budget in 2025. That includes PLN 597 million allocated to the Project Centre Digital Poland (CPPC) for the Cyber-secure Municipality project and PLN 392.5 million in subsidies to the national telecommunications R&D institute NASK-PIB, including PLN 164 million for the maintenance of the educational network OSE.

Orange Poland opens orders for Oppo Find X9 Ultra

Orange Poland has started pre-sales of the smartphone Oppo Find X9 Ultra 5G in its shops. Customers connecting to the postpaid Plan L from the operator for 24 months are offered the device for PLN 6,459 (PLN 99 initial payment followed by PLN 265 per month). The device is offered for PLN 7,399 without the subscription contract.

Vivo has officially partnered with Magyar Telekom, making its premium X300 Pro and X300 smartphones available through the operator. The Vivo X300 Pro, priced at HUF 493,680, comes with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, available in black and brown. It includes a complimentary Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Kit lens and a Vivo Imaging Grip Kit that doubles as a power bank.

Magyar Telekom lifts outlook on better profitability in Q1

Hungary's Magyar Telekom reported adjusted net profit growth of 7.5 percent for the first quarter of 2026 to HUF 58.7 billion. EBITDA AL increased 4.0 percent to HUF 101.4 billion, with the margin reaching 42.6 percent. Total revenues decreased by 1.5 percent to HUF 238.1 billion, of which mobile revenues accounted for HUF 140.5 billion and fixed line revenues for HUF 78.3 billion in the first quarter of 2026.

Gaia AI factory launches in Krakow

The AI Factory project Gaia AI has officially launched in the Krakow-based Academic Computing Centre Cyfronet AGH. The project is carried out under the framework of the EU programme EuroHPC JU. The AI factory will rely on the new supercomputer Gaia.

Orange Slovakia offers promo of fixed broadband, double-play

Orange Slovakia has a promotion on its fixed broadband and double-play packages. Customers signing subscription contracts for 24 months are offered discounts up to EUR 276. The maximum rebate is available when connecting to the package TV XL + Internet XL.

T-Mobile Poland, Polkomtel win tender at border police

T-Mobile Poland and Polkomtel, trading under the Plus brand, have won a tender on providing mobile monitoring services for the border police. T-Mobile Poland has signed a PLN 1.657 million deal under the first lot, Polkomtel singed a PLN 2.020 million contract under the second lot. Duration of the contracts is 36 months.

O2 Czechia launches Neo+ plan with discount in first year

O2 Czech Republic introduced the new tariff plan Neo+, with 10 GB, 150 minutes and 150 SMS to all local networks. The monthly subscription costs CZK 349 during the first 12 months and then CZK 499.

Netia starts cooperation with Prime Video, Apple TV

Polish operator Netia has started working with the streaming services Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV, bundling the services with its fixed broadband plans at up to 1 Gbps or 2 Gbps. Amazon Prime, Apple TV and SkyShowtime are offered free for six months to new subscribers.

T-Mobile Czechia launches special channel to mark 10th anniversary of TV service

T-Mobile Czech Republic has launched a special VOD channel called Birthday Cinema to mark the 10th anniversary of its service Magenta TV. The subscriber base of the OTT service totaled 325,000 at the end of 2025.

Poland extends deadline for broadband projects with EU funding

The Project Centre Digital Poland (CPPC) has reached an agreement with the Ministry of Digitisation on allowing more time for the deployment of fibre-optic broadband networks funded under the first and the second calls of the National Recovery and Resilience Programme funded by the EU. The deadline for completion is extended from 30 June to 31 August this year.

Former Rostelecom manager lead candidate to acquire Svyaznoy chain

Sergey Frolov, a former top manager of Russian national operator Rostelecom, is expected to acquire a majority stake in the mobile and electronics retail chain Svyaznoy, reports Cnews.ru. Frolov was the only participant in negotiations on the takeover under bankruptcy proceedings. Shares of the Cyprus-based company DTS Retail, owning 69.2 percent in the company Svyazvoy Chain, as well as a 5.6 percent stake in Svyaznoy Chain owned by the company Svyazoy are to be sold under the deal.

CRA reports almost 96% customer satisfaction

Czech operator Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRA) announced the its customer satisfaction level has reached 95.85 percent this year. The operator considers one of key factors behind the high satisfaction level is its customer service portal My CRA. The operator is gradually expanding its functions.

Orange Poland passes half million subscribers for digital service Flex

Orange Poland said that the user base of its digital mobile service Orange Flex totals 0.5 million, and half of them use eSIMs. The service was launched seven years ago as an app-based delivery with all digital service, and the company is giving away prizes like free data bundles to mark the milestone. The subscriber base of Orange Flex has grown from 430,000 in May 2025 when Orange last reported customer numbers.

Megafon upgrades mobile network in Kursk region

Russian operator Megafon said that it has upgraded its telecommunications equipment in the Kursk region. The capacity of the network doubled in the most densely populated areas, taking the download speed up to 80 Mbps. Radio frequencies earlier used for GSM and 3G services have been allocated to LTE services in certain areas in the region. In 2025, Megafon deployed 180 new base stations in the region, and the operator has built 70 additional base stations since the beginning of this year.

O2 Czechia offers roaming promo for hockey world championship

O2 Czech Republic introduced a promotion for customers planning to use roaming services in Switzerland during the ice-hockey world championship from 15 to 31 May. They can purchase the mobile data roaming package World Top with a CZK 200 discount, for CZK 199. The monthly package includes a 5 GB data bundle.
