Deutsche Telekom said revenues in Germany increased by 1.9 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026 to EUR 6.34 billion. In organic terms, the increase was 2.1 percent, on account of higher service (+1.1%) and equipment revenues. Germany's 1&1 said revenues increased by 1.1 percent year-on-year in Q1 2026 to EUR 1.15 billion, calling it a good start to the year. United Internet recorded an increase of 2.1 percent year-on-year in Q1 revenues to EUR 1.55 billion. Germany's 1&1 Versatel has connected all schools in Schleswig-Holstein to the fibre-optic network. The company has connected the last remaining school to the high-speed network, the Theodor-Mommsen Elementary School in Garding. This means that now the fibre-optic network in Schleswig-Holstein covers all 800 public schools with a total of 954 locations. Vodafone Germany equips Tobi customer service bot with genAI from Google

Vodafone Germany announced it is equipping its chatbot Tobi with generative AI from Google. SuperTobi, as the new chatbot is called, understands customer queries in greater detail and resolves them more independently. Using generative AI, the chatbot automatically accesses Vodafone's websites and internal product information to answer inquiries. This will also help the chatbot to resolve significantly more inquiries from customers than before. Tobi communicates with around 600,000 customers every month.

Deutsche Telekom's low-cost brand Congstar is introducing a new 12-month offering for its brands ja! mobil and Penny Mobil. The annual package M with 60 GB data volume costs EUR 69.99 while the L package with 250 GB is EUR 99.99 for one year. Customers can activate the offerings via the respective starter pack. The starter pack includes an initial credit of EUR 70 for the M package and EUR 100 for the L package. The tariffs provide 5G connections at a maximum speed of 50 Mbps.

Telefonica Germany has announced the expansion of its 5G network to Eutingen im Gau in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Loitz in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and Mettenheim in Bavaria. In the popular hiking area Eutingen im Gau and in rural Loitz, the operator has constructed new mobile sites, and it has deployed a new 5G mast in Mettenheim, an location favoured by walkers and cyclists.
