Russian operator MTS said that its cybersecurity service Secure Internet blocked more than 10 million connections to harmful websites in the first quarter of this year. It claims to have improved the quality of the service using AI agents working in real time. The accuracy of its filtering has reached 95 percent, MTS adds.

The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communication (LVM) said the 2026 National Cyber Security Exercise (KYHA) for state administration organisations was held from 25 to 29 May. The simulation targeted supply chains and critical dependencies, seeking to influence citizen services through cyber-attacks using real-world threat actor tactics and techniques. It aims ensure the capability of critical infrastructure operators to act in cyber security crisis situations.

Clavister says Norwegian defence agency exercises SEK 14 mln core network options

Cybersecurity company Clavister has announced an order from the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) worth some SEK 14 million, covering all the remaining options under the current Tactical Core Network System (TCNS) project. The order includes additional deliveries of TCNS functionality, such as NATO interoperability capabilities, as well as related services for secure and resilient tactical communications. Deliveries will be made in accordance with the agreed project plan.

Cato Networks said it is rolling out an agentic AI extension to its existing Cato Cloud security architecture to accelerate mitigation of cyber flaws registered in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) catalogue. The Israeli SASE specialist expects to further reduce time-to-mitigation for Cato Cloud customers to 45 minutes from a few hours previously, based on results that appear to be from internal testing.

Ooredoo Qatar and the Ministry of Defence have established the country's first quantum-safe communications link. The breakthrough was done in a collaboration between Hamad Bin Khalifa University's Qatar Centre for Quantum Computing (QC2), the Ministry of Defence, and Ooredoo Qatar. Using Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), the project delivers a quantum-safe link that generates and distributes encryption keys using the principles of quantum mechanics.

South Korea's ministry of science and ICT has announced a new information security strategy aimed at helping the private sector respond to cyber threats enabled by increasingly capable AI systems. The plan sets out a combination of immediate measures and longer-term initiatives designed to strengthen cybersecurity across industry and establish what the ministry describes as national AI security sovereignty.
