Antik, Lepsia.TV add TV channel Ballcasterz to lineup

Slovak operator Antik has added the football channel Ballcasterz to its pay-TV lineup, reports Zive. The channel is available for subscribers using Antik TV and Antik Sat platforms from the operator. The online TV platform Lepsia.TV has also added the channel Ballcasterz to all three of its pay-TV packages.

Gilat Satellite Networks revenue grows 20% in Q1

Gilat Satellite Networks said its revenue increased 20 percent to USD 110.5 million in the first quarter compared with USD 92 million in the same period in 2025. Adjusted EBITDA doubled to USD 15.1 million compared with USD 7.6 million, and the net income amounted to USD 5.2 million compared with a net loss of USD 6 million a year ago.

GCT Semiconductor grew shipments of its 5G-capable RF chipsets by 58 percent quarter-on-quarter in the three months to 31 March. Q1 shipments reached 3,000 units as GCT progressed its commercial trajectory for 5G RF applications including satellite and air-to-ground platforms. The firm anticipates a further acceleration in the coming months due to additional orders from its lead customers, and is projecting sequential growth in 5G shipments through the remainder of 2026.

Orange Spain said all subscribers to its Orange TV and Orange TV Bares pay-TV offer will again be able to view the French Open tennis tournament from Roland-Garros in 4K Ultra HD (UHD) via the Eurosport 4K channel. The channel will be available on dial no. 101 from 24 May to 07 June, enabling those with compatible TVs to view matches from the 125th edition of the tournament in the highest possible 4K resolution on up to five devices.

Finnish operator Elisa said Schibsted's broadcaster MTV has terminated their distribution agreements with effect from 13 May, two days before the popular World Ice Hockey Championships starts. MTV's free-to-air channels MTV3, MTV Sub and MTV Ava will no longer be available for live viewing via Elisa's cable television service or Elisa Viihde entertainment service, affecting approximately 800,000 households.

The RTL channels in the Netherlands will come under Dutch regulatory authority from July, following DPG Media's takeover of RTL Netherlands. Since RTL's launch in the country, the channels have fallen under the authority of the Luxembourg regulator, where RTL Group is based. DPG confirmed the change to Marketing Report. Proximus agrees Dazn distribution deal to show top Belgian football

Proximus has agreed a deal with Dazn to carry the latter's coverage of the Jupiler Pro League, Belgium's top football league. The Dazn channels will be available for customers of Proximus and its brand Scarlet from the next football season, after Dazn struggled to attract a significant base in its first year with the rights and a direct-to-consumer distribution approach. The news follows a deal with Telenet last week, meaning Dazn now has distribution with the two largest pay-TV providers in the country.

RTL Group said its streaming business turned its first profit in the first quarter. This was supported by a 27 percent annual increase in streaming revenue to EUR 141 million, driven by more paid subscribers, increased subscription prices and growing advertising revenue. The higher streaming income helped offset a 6.5 percent fall in advertising revenue at its linear TV business to EUR 474 million. Adjusted for divestments, RTL said organic revenues were up 2.5 percent in the period.

Globalstar has announced plans to launch a new batch of satellites to support its low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation, as part of ongoing investment in its satellite communications infrastructure. The company said its HIBLEO-4 replenishment satellites are scheduled to launch on a Falcon 9 rocket operated by SpaceX from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on 17 May, within a 14-minute launch window opening at 08:50 ET.

South Korea's  Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) has signed an MoU with the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) in the United States and Brazil's SBTVD Forum to strengthen cooperation on next-generation terrestrial broadcasting standards. Under the agreement, the three organisations will establish a framework for cooperation on standards aimed at improving global interoperability for next-generation broadcasting services and products.

Philippines operator PLDT and its mobile unit Smart Communications have announced they are testing a mix of non-traditional technologies to extend connectivity to geographically isolated and underserved communities, including approaches that reduce reliance on conventional telco infrastructure. Allente said it has the exclusive rights offer licences for public screenings of the Fifa World Cup men's football competition for Sweden on behalf of Schibsted's TV4 and public broadcaster SVT.
