Met de aankondiging van KPN dat het in de periode 2019-2021 een miljoen huishoudens aan zijn totaal van FTTH homes passed gaat toevoegen, heeft het bedrijf de definitieve klap gegeven op een almaar groeiende interesse in de glasvezeluitrol in Nederland.

T-Mobile leads growth on Dutch broadband market in Q1

T-Mobile's additional market share in Q1 was helped by the acquisition of Tele2 from the start of the year. Its growth on the broadband market though is largely driven by the T-Mobile brand. Telecompaper estimates it added around 13,000 customers in Q1, while the Tele2 brand lost 6,000.

T-Mobile leidt groei op Nederlandse breedbandmarkt in Q1

T-Mobile leidt de groei op de Nederlandse breedbandmarkt voor het derde opeenvolgende kwartaal. Dat blijkt uit voorlopige cijfers van Telecompaper. Terwijl KPN en VodafoneZiggo de breedbandmarkt in Nederland blijven domineren, verhoogde challenger T-Mobile zijn marktaandeel in het eerste kwartaal van 2019 verder, met een aandeel van 7 procent van de breedbandverbindingen eind maart.

Dutch broadband market reaches 7.5 mln connections, EUR 2 bln revenues in 2018

The Dutch market for fixed broadband internet advanced by 1.1 percent last year to 7.5 million connections, according to Telecompaper's latest study of the broadband market. In particular, Ziggo (+51,000) and T-Mobile Netherlands (+50,000) recorded strong growth in the number of connections, offsetting declines at Tele2 Netherlands (-21,000) and KPN (-15,000). As a result of the rise in the number of broadband lines and of price increases at all providers, broadband revenue climbed 4.9 percent to EUR 2.02 b

De Nederlandse markt voor vast breedbandinternet is in 2018 met 1,1 procent gegroeid naar 7,5 miljoen aansluitingen. Dit blijkt uit het meest recente kwartaalrapport van marktonderzoeksbureau Telecompaper over de breedbandmarkt. Vooral Ziggo (+51.000) en T-Mobile (+50.000) zagen het aantal aansluitingen groeien. Caiway to launch Sim-only mobile offering on T-Mobile network

Caiway, the services arm of CAIW, formerly CIF, has quietly put a sim-only mobile offer on the market. The company, part of Delta Fiber, signed an agreement on the matter with T-Mobile, as can be seen on the Caiway customer service page. A Caiway spokesperson confirmed the launch, saying three Sim-only subscriptions were introduced under the name Caiway Mobiel. No rates have yet been announced.

Ziggo to raise broadband speeds for all customers from mid-April

Dutch cable operator Ziggo announced plans to raise broadband speeds for around 2.4 million consumer and 130,000 business customers in April. Its top speed will increase to 500 Mbps from 400 Mbps for consumers and to 600 Mbps from 500 Mbps for businesses.
