Dutch Mobile Promotions- Handset Q2 2011
This research brief focuses on the development of mobile phone brands' exposure in promotions and handset usage in the Netherlands for the quarter periods Q4 2009 to Q2 2011. Information is based on findings from Telecompaper's Mobile Promotions Database (which tracks active promotions of mobile services on a weekly basis) and Consumer Panel (which provides unique insight into the behaviour and current situation of Dutch consumers and the telecom services they are using). Main findings: Nokia and Samsung remain the most used and promoted handset brands in the Dutch mobile market. Nevertheless, it is clear that they are losing some ground (particularly Nokia) to competitors focused on smartphones, such as HTC and Blackberry.
