Multikabel
Multikabel is the fourth largest cable company in the Netherlands with more than 1.4 million subscribers to its services. During 2006, its owner Warburg Pincus joined forces with private equity investor Cinven to acquire the second largest and third largest cable network operators in the Netherlands: Essent Kabelcom and Casema. The three operators have been brought under in Zesko Holding. The operators and union have decided on a social plan for the period until 1 July 2009 envisages no forced redundancies as a result of the merger, with any laid off staff being helped to find another job within or outside the company. The working councils of all three companies are currently investigating the social plans. In March 2007, Multikabel entered the mobile market in the Netherlands with the launch of a SIM-only tariff called Multikabel Mobiel. The service costs EUR 4.95 per month. This is the last profile made about Multikabel alone, it is now included a new company profile about Ziggo/Zesko.
