Opta: mobiele markt groeide in Q3, verhoudingen gelijk

Opta geeft aan dat het aantal mobiele aansluitingen in het derde kwartaal van 2012, in tegenstelling tot het eerste en tweede kwartaal, stijgt. Ten opzichte van het tweede kwartaal is het aantal aansluitingen met 266 duizend gestegen naar 21,9 miljoen. Deze stijging is het resultaat van de stijging in het aantal abonnementen van mobiele aanbieders met een eigen netwerk (MNO's) en het aantal aansluitingen van aanbieders zonder eigen netwerk. Nederlandse MVNO-markt goed voor 7,9 miljoen klanten

In de zes maanden tot eind september nam het aantal Nederlanders dat gebruik maakt van mobiele diensten via een virtuele operator met 4,4 procent toe. In totaal zijn er dat 7,9 miljoen, ofwel 37,3 procent van de Nederlandse mobiele markt. Van het totaal is 4,6 miljoen (58,0%) klant bij een virtuele operator die geheel of gedeeltelijk eigendom is van de mobiele netwerk operators. Onafhankelijke MVNO's bieden hun diensten aan 3,3 miljoen gebruikers aan. Dat staat gelijk aan 15,7 procent van de Nederlandse mob

Dutch VO market grows 4.4% to 7.9 mln customers

The number of Dutch mobile customers using a virtual operator rose 4.4 percent over the six months to the end of September 2012 to a total 7.9 million, good for 37.3 percent of the Dutch mobile market. Of the total, 58.0 percent or 4.6 million customers used virtual brands (co-)owned by the mobile network operators.
