Dutch mobile operators target VO market with growth in low-cost brands
Virtual brands, including MVNOs and the alternative brands runs by mobile operators, had a 40.9 percent share of the Dutch mobile market at the end of September 2013, according to research by Telecompaper. Tele2, still active as an independent MVNO while it prepares its own network launch, is showing strong customer growth, as are the no-frills, low-cost virtual brands, especially Vodafone's hollandsnieuwe.
