Video behaviour of Dutch consumers 2016 Q2

This is the fourth edition of our semi-annual consumer research on video consumption behaviour in the Netherlands. The report focuses on three main topics:

  1. Devices used for watching video content
  2. Subscriptions to theme channels and OTT services
  3. Viewing behaviour

 The report answers questions such as:

  • How can I best target youngsters with video-related content?
  • How many people have TVs that are connected to the internet?
  • How many minutes do older people watch live television each day?
  • How do HBO subscribers differ from those who subscribe to Netflix (age, broadcast provider, type of household and income)?
  • How many people are interested in a Fox Sports subscription?

In the report the following theme channels and OTT video services are included: Netflix, Film1, Ziggo Sport Totaal, HBO, FOX Sports, NLziet, Videoland Unlimited, MyPrime and plus packages offered via broadcast providers.

New chapter in this edition: Use of Apps, with slides about video-app installs or use on smart TVs, tablets and smartphones.
