Vodafone Spain begins Vera customer migration

Vodafone Spain (Zegona) said it has begun migrating the customers of Catalan telecommunications firm Vera to its network following the wholesale agreement reached last September. Zimbabwean operator NetOne has introduced the 'Pay for Me' reverse charge service. Customers without airtime credit can initiate a call by dialing star 164 star followed by the recipient's number. The recipient then receives a prompt asking whether they wish to accept the call and pay for it. If they do, the call proceeds and the recipient is charged the standard out-of-bundle rate. If declined, no charges are incurred by either party.

Telefonica said it has raised EUR 1.75 billion through the successful placement of a new green hybrid bond issue, while also launching an offer to purchase three outstanding hybrid bonds. The hybrid bond issue was split into two tranches. The first tranche, worth EUR 900 million, carries a coupon of 4.381 percent and a first call date in January 2031. The second tranche, of EUR 850 million, has a coupon of 4.881 percent and can be called in January 2034.
