Polish operator Polkomtel, trading under the Plus brand, has decided to implement the Snowflake AI Data Cloud for developing its analytics environment. The company will use the platform to accelerate implementation of its digital transformation strategy and improve access to data within the corporation. 4iG Group's One has officially surpassed Yettel Hungary in the mobile market, according to the latest statistics from the National Media and Communications Authority. TelevisaUnivision reported total revenues of USD 1.02 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 5 percent year on year, as flat US sales of USD 708 million were offset by a 17 percent growth in Mexico to USD 367 million. The Spanish-language media company, formed in 2022 through the merger of Televisa's content operations with US-based Univision, posted an operating income of USD 163 million, down from USD 187 million a year earlier, while adjusted OIBDA fell 6 percent to USD 323.3 million.

Corning has reported an 18 percent year-on-year increase in its core sales metric in the first quarter of 2026 to USD 4.35  billion amid robust demand for Gen AI products. The company said core EPS was up 30 percent year on year in Q1 to USD 0.70. UK mobile operators block 166.92 million scam SMS messages in Q1

UK mobile operators blocked 166.92 million fraudulent SMS messages from reaching customers in Q1 2026, according to the latest SMS Fraud Tracker data from industry group Mobile UK. Broken down by month, they blocked 97.11 million messages in January, 40.10 million in February and 20.72 million in March. Since tracking began, UK mobile operators have blocked a total of 2.83 billion scam SMS messages.

A four-day forum was held from 21 to 24 April by the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), Agence Nationale pour la Societe de l'Information (ANSI) Niger, and the Ministry of Communication and New Technology, to discuss the country's digital future.
