Lumen revenues fall 9% in Q2 as new strategy takes shape

Lumen Technologies reported revenues of USD 2.805 billion for the second quarter, down 9.3 percent from a year earlier following the sale of its consumer business. The operator's expansion in networking services has yet to make up the revenue shortfall, with Enterprise revenues largely flat year-on-year and Wholesale income slightly lower. While Lumen reduced its net loss, adjusted EBITDA was still lower year-on-year, at USD 802 million excluding special items, compared to USD 877 million a year ago.

SKT profits improve in Q2 as mobile business recovers, broadband base expands

SK Telecom reported a strong improvement in profits in the second quarter, as the Korean operator recovered from the extra costs last year from its security breach and Sim replacement exercise. While revenues were up just 0.5 percent year-on-year to KRW 4.36 trillion, operating profit increased 67.3 percent to KRW 566 billion. Net profit was over five times greater, at KRW 466 billion versus KRW 83 billion a year ago.

SpaceX has reported its first quarterly results since becoming a public company. The report shows a net loss of USD 541 million for the second quarter of 2026, almost half the loss of USD 1.0 billion a year earlier, on revenues up 92 percent year-on-year to USD 7.8 billion. Adjusted EBITDA nearly tripled, to USD 3.5 billion from USD 1.2 billion a year earlier, driven mainly by growth at Starlink.

The public cloud infrastructure (IaaS) market in Russia was worth RUB 96 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow to RUB 241 billion by 2030, reports Comnews from a study by Apple Hills Digital, a consulting and research company specialising in IT market analytics and digital strategy. AI is becoming the main growth driver: more than 80 percent of companies note its impact on resource consumption. The average annual growth rate is approximately 20 percent.
