Eenderde van de consumenten koopt mobiele aansluiting online

Ongeveer 31 procent van de Nederlandse consumenten schaft zijn mobiele aansluitingen aan via internet. Van deze online shoppers gebruiken verreweg de meesten de webwinkel van de operators. Er zit echter veel verschil in de aankoopmanier als het gaat om prepaid, postpaid, een pakket of sim only. Van alle postpaid sim only-abonnementen is meer dan de helft via internet gekocht. Dit blijkt uit het Telecompaper-rapport ‘Dutch Mobile Consumer’.

Telfort is met afstand de grootste operator op het gebied van postpaid-verkopen via internet. Van alle Telfort-klanten die een postpaid-pakket of sim only aanschaften, deed meer dan 60 procent dat via het web.

Hi heeft de jongste installed base van alle mobiele operators. Bijna 60 procent van de Hi-klanten is jonger dan 40 jaar. Tele2-klanten zijn het oudst. Niet meer dan 30 procent van die klanten is jonger dan 40. In de leeftijdscategorie 50 tot 65 scoort Tele2 het hoogst van allemaal: 45 procent. KPN is de aanbieder met het hoogste aandeel mannen (55%), terwijl bij Hi vrouwen het meest aanwezig zijn.

Het rapport Dutch Mobile Consumer 2009-Q3 geeft gedetailleerde demografische informatie van de Nederlandse consument. Aan bod komt onder andere de verkoopkanalen, de reden waarom voor een bepaalde aanbieder wordt gekozen, gemiddeld uitgavebedrag, meest gebruikte diensten en de meest gebruikte additionele bundels naast het reguliere abonnement. Het rapport is gebaseerd op bijna 17.000 respondenten uit het Telecompaper Consumer Panel in de periode april tot september 2009. Er zijn twee versies van: een beschrijft de situatie uitgesplitst naar operators. De ander is uitgesplitst naar mobiele handsetmerken.

The second edition gives the same kind of information split per mobile service provider: Hi, KPN, Telfort, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Tele2, and Others. Report is based on the responses of almost 17,000 respondents from our Telecompaper Consumer Panel during the period April - September 2009. Results are CBS stratified for gender and age (15-64). In our panel, we ask every month at least 2,000 consumers about their use of mobile telephony, broadband connections, fixed telephony and TV, including details on their current situation, purchasing habits, usage and churn.
