Mavenir seeks to provide mobile network products in Africa

Mavenir is ready to provide end-to-end systems for mobile networks in Africa, from 2G to 5G, for coverage even in remote rural areas. In the Mobile Core, Mavenir offers virtualised software for core networks for basic and advanced services, as well as messaging capabilities based on IP Multimedia Systems (IMS), and a Converged Packet Core product able to scale up or down.

Mavenir's 5G Core has the ability to slice network services and uses Mavenir’s web-scale platform with container technology for agility and speed. Mavenir's OpenRAN can increase coverage and enables quick and cost-effective deployment, especially in rural areas. Mavenir OpenRAN decreases costs by using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and new, virtualised and open products.

With the recent acquisition of ip.access, already deployed in Africa, Mavenir now offers Multi Radio Access Technology (MRAT), which is particularly suitable for countries where 2G and 3G are still dominant as mobile technologies.
