
Netflix has announced a film-making partnership with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners studio. Under the deal, the partners said they will will produce multiple new feature films per year. No financial details were disclosed.
Variety said the deal meant the production of at least two films per year, for an unspecified number of years, with Netflix providing financing for some of the productions.
Amblin produced “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” which was originally set up at Paramount before being sold to Netflix during the covid-19 pandemic. Other recent Amblin productions include Green Book, 1917 and Maestro, in pre-production.
