Nigeria's Globacom becomes Vodafone partner

Vodafone and Globacom jointly announced a new, non-equity partnership agreement that covers Nigeria and Benin. Under the Partner Market agreement, Vodafone and Globacom will work together to boost the experience of consumer and business customers in the two countries covered by Glo, as well as Glo customers roaming across the world. Vodafone Partner Markets CEO Stefano Gastaut said the strategic partnership with Globacom for Nigeria and Benin will help deliver enhanced roaming benefits for Globacom's consumer and multinational corporate customers, including countries where Vodafone has a 4G network. Vodafone will gain from Globacom's expertise and understanding of African markets to help improve services for its customers on the continent. Glo claims the number two position on the Nigerian market with around 30 million customers.
