OVH rebrands as OVHcloud as annual revenues reach EUR 600 mln

OVH announced the evolution of its brand at the annual summit held for partners in Paris. Becoming OVHcloud, the company said that the new identity reflects the increasing importance of cloud services as it celebrates 20 years in business. CEO Michel Paulin told Les Echos that cloud-related revenues account for more than 70 percent of turnover. In the fiscal year that ended in September, the company’s overall revenues grew at an annual rate of around 20 percent, to reach EUR 600 million.

In 2018, its management hoped to pass the revenue milestone of EUR 1 billion by 2020. This target is now set for 2021, continuing to rely on the international expansion of the business.

The annual summit was also the opportunity to update the OVHcloud community on upcoming releases. Among them, the company said its premium HG range of dedicated servers will soon be updated with better CPUs (latest-generation Intel Cascade Lake and second-generation AMD EPYC). It also confirmed that its Hosted Private Cloud offering is undergoing the SecNumCloud qualification process, managed by French IT security agency ANSSI.
