Viom, Telenor in talks on Myanmar network - report

Indian mobile tower operator Viom Networks is reportedly in talks with Telenor to set-up and operate a mobile network in Myanmar. Negotiations on the multi-million dollar deal are expected to be wrapped up soon, the Business Line writes citing unnamed sources involved in the talks. Telenor, as well as Qatari operator Ooredoo, recently won a licence in Myanmar. The deal would see Viom roll out around 5,000 towers covering 60 percent of Myanmar's population in five years. Viom did not comment on the rumour.
