
Vodafone announced that it will start selling the Nexus One mobile phone from Google directly through its stores and online in the UK from 30 April. Sales of the Google phone will start in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain and in France through SFR during May. Further detail on pricing and availability dates will be made available shortly, Vodafone said.
Vodafone UK is now accepting pre-orders for the Google Nexus One handset. The phone will be available through Vodafone retail outlets, online and telesales. The Nexus One will sell with a range of Vodafone price plans, on both 18- and 24-month contracts, with prices starting from GBP 25 a month on a 24-month contract. It will be free when customers sign a two-year contract at GBP 35 per month. Vodafone UK customers with the Nexus One can use up to 1 GB of mobile data as part of their price plan as well as unlimited access to Wi-Fi in the home and free, publicly available services throughout the country. Customers using Wi-Fi can also use an additional 1 GB of data at premium BT Openzone hotspots throughout the UK.
