Wanadoo NL trials mobile service via Orange network
Wanadoo Netherlands has started with a pilot for mobile services using the mobile network of its sister company Orange Netherlands. When the pilot is successful, a commercial launch is expected for November. The service will then consist of either a SIM-only package or a package with a Motorola V220 phone. The monthly tariffs will start at EUR 4.95 and includes free calls to all Dutch fixed network numbers (excluding service numbers) during the evenings and weekends. The free call promotion will be valid until 1 July 2006. The set-up tariff will be EUR 0.07 per call and Wanadoo is currently in negotiations with Orange regarding substantial discounts for calls between Wanadoo Mobile subscribers. The ISP is planning to introduce more mobile products and services in the beginning of 2006.
