Zayo files for IPO
Network operator Zayo has filed for an initial public offering of shares in the US. The company has yet to set the number or price of shares to be sold. The proceeds will be used to pay off debt, further acquisitions, working capital and capital expenditures. 

Based in Colorado, Zayo provides a range of fibre network services for wholesale customers and businesses. Its network covered over 77,000 route miles in 297 geographic markets in the US and Europe at the end of March. It was connected to 14,490 buildings, including 3,838 cellular towers and 527 data centres. For the nine months to 31 March, Zayo recorded a net loss of USD 105.6 million, adjusted EBITDA of USD 482.6 million and revenues of USD 826.5 million.

Zayo prices IPO at USD 19.00 per share

Bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group has announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 21,052,631 shares of its common stock at a price of USD 19.00 per share. Zayo enables connectivity for Weld County School District

Zayo Group has completed a dark fibre build in Northern Colorado providing connectivity to the Weld County School District and additional fibre connectivity to the community in Greeley. Through a ten-year contract with the district, Zayo will provide a managed 1G private dedicated Ethernet network connecting 30 schools and administration buildings.

Zayo Group acquires AtlantaNAP data centre

zColo, the collocation division of international bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group has acquired Colo Facilities Atlanta (AtlantaNAP), an Atlanta data centre and managed services provider. The acquisition yields over 72,000 square feet of total data centre space, including 42,000 square feet of conditioned collocation space. The purchase brings Zayo's data centre count to 28 locations. No financial details of the takeover were disclosed.

Zayo Group completes acquisition of Neo Telecoms

Global bandwidth infrastructure services provider, Zayo Group has completed its purchase of Neo Telecoms, a Paris-based bandwidth infrastructure company. The acquisition of Neo adds 300 route miles of Paris dark fibre and more than 500 on-net buildings to Zayo's network footprint in Europe. Through nine collocation facilities operated by Neo across France, Zayo can now offer an additional 36,000 square feet of data centre space to customers. No financial details of the takeover were disclosed.

Zayo expands 100G capability across European network

Global bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo announced the completion of a network upgrade which enables it to provide 100G wavelength services over its long-haul European network. Zayo Group selected as Authorised Provider for The Quilt

International bandwidth infrastructure provider, Zayo Group has been selected as an Authorised Quilt Provider (AQP) of IP services for The Quilt, a national coalition of regional networks for research and education. As an AQP, Zayo can now provide IP services to Quilt members, including 35 regional networks that collectively pass traffic for more than 3,000 colleges, universities and K-12 educational institutions across the US.

International bandwidth infrastructure provider, Zayo Group has announced plans to open a new office in downtown Denver. The office, expected to open in August, will be Boulder-based Zayo's fourth office along the Front Range.

Snella resigns as CTO and CIO of Zayo Group

Zayo Group has announced that Marty Snella, CTO and CIO, has resigned from the company in order to take a break after nearly 30 years in the communications industry. Snella's responsibilities have been redistributed across Zayo's executive team, and the roles of CTO and CIO will not be continued at this time. Snella's resignation was effective on 1 May.

Zayo increases term loan facility to USD 2 bln

Global bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group has successfully increased its term load facility of USD 1.74 billion by USD 275 million, to a total of 2.015 billion. The USD 275 million add-on was priced at 99.5. No other terms of the credit agreement were amended. Zayo Group acquires UK-based Geo Networks

Global bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group has acquired UK dark fibre provider Geo Networks for an undisclosed sum. The deal will close immediately and will be by a combination of cash on hand and a draw from Zayo's revolving credit facility. Zayo Group adds Rottenberg to board of directors

Zayo Group has elected Linda Rottenberg to its board of directors. Rottenberg is co-founder and CEO of Endeavor. Bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group reported third quarter revenue grew 6 percent year-over-year to USD 278.0 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose 9 percent to USD 165.0 million from USD 147.8 million.
