Openreach unveils new wholesale pricing offer to drive FTTP broadband adoption

Openreach has announced a new special offer for wholesale communications providers (CP) customers to drive adoption of full-fibre broadband.

The offer, developed in consultation with customers, will provide wholesale customers with long-term pricing certainty on its FTTP services. Openreach will give pricing certainty for up to 10 years in exchange for a 'stop-sell' commitment from CPs to use FTTP wherever it is available instead of older services such as FTTC and copper, with no migration or volume targets. There will be a single national rental price across the entire Openreach FTTP network footprint.

Openreach said the prices would be competitive but providing the company with a fair return. The offer will be available from 01 October 2021 to 30 March 2022, with the long-term pricing certainty running until 30 September 2031.
