SFR continues HSPA+ expansion, plans LTE for start 2013
French operator SFR has announced that it would start generalising 21 Mbps HSPA+ across its network from 11 April with the aim of covering 88 percent of the population with 21 Mbps service by the end of the year. In parallel, the operator said its 42 Mbps service is now available in 50 cities and major beach resort areas. By the end of the year, SFR's 42 Mbps service is expected to cover 63 percent of the population. The operator also stated that it had started deploying LTE in Lyon and Marseille, with other cities to follow. Its first commercial LTE services will begin at the start of 2013
