ACM reports continued fall in fixed lines in Q1
The number of PSTN lines in the Netherlands has fallen below the symbolic level of 1 million, according to the latest figures from regulator ACM. At the end of March, ther were 948,000 lines in use, down from 1.001 million at the end of 2015. Voice over broadband lines increased over the same period from 5.278 million to 5.375 million. The market monitor also shows 955,000 fibre broadband connections at the end of March, compared to 3.226 million over cable and 2.81 million on DSL. The long-term trend shows
