Nederlandse omzet uit vaste telefonie daalt 2,5% in tweede kwartaal van 2016

De omzet uit vaste telefonie is in het tweede kwartaal van 2016 opnieuw gedaald. In de periode april-juni ging het om een daling van 2,5 procent naar 280 miljoen euro, zo blijkt uit de nieuwste editie van het Dutch Fixed Telephony Market-rapport van Telecompaper. De daling was minder scherp dan de 4,6 procent uit het eerste kwartaal van 2016. De omzetdaling is in 2013 begonnen en lijkt onomkeerbaar.

Populariteit glasvezel daalt onder huishoudens

Minder Nederlanders verwachten dat glasvezel de norm is voor het aanbieden van snel breedband internet over 10 jaar. In 2015 dacht ruim de helft (55%) van de Nederlandse huishoudens dat over 10 jaar glasvezel de meest gebruikte vaste netwerktechnologie is. In 2016 is dat percentage gedaald naar 48. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van Telecompaper onder zijn Consumer Panel. ACM reports continued fall in fixed lines in Q1

The number of PSTN lines in the Netherlands has fallen below the symbolic level of 1 million, according to the latest figures from regulator ACM. At the end of March, ther were 948,000 lines in use, down from 1.001 million at the end of 2015. Voice over broadband lines increased over the same period from 5.278 million to 5.375 million. Telfort wijzigt tarieven per 1 juli

Telfort maakt bekend dat het per 1 juli tariefswijzigingen doorvoert voor vast internet en voor vast bellen. Bovendien voert de provider een aantal wijzigingen door in de samenstellingen van een aantal tv-pakketten. Bij vaste telefonie gaat het starttarief en de belkosten per minuut per 1 juli 2016 omhoog van 10 naar 11 cent. Caiw revenues grow almost 13% in 2015, net loss increases

Dutch telecom service provider Caiw saw its revenues grow by 12.6 percent during 2015 to end the year with EUR 99.71 million, according to its annual report for 2015 recently filed at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. The revenue growth was driven by the uptake of triple play via fibre as well as an increase in Caiw's customer base due to the transfer of former Ziggo customers on the Cogas network in Eastern Netherlands in the beginning of 2015.
