Dutch FTTH networks develop without government support
This Research Brief describes the current situation on the Dutch fibre market using data from the Telecompaper FTTH Monitor. As of 01 February 2012, there were 178 municipalities in the Netherlands with some form of FTTH project. This projects are divided in five phases: preparing a demand aggregation exercise (cooperation agreement signed); demand aggregation underway; preparing roll-out (demand aggregation completed successfully or otherwise clear schedule for roll-out); roll-out underway and completed deployment. The brief focuses on Reggefiber and cable network owners like CIF that are deploying FTTH as well.
