Unlimited calls more popular than unlimited data in Netherlands

Almost half of postpaid mobile subscribers in the Netherlands have unlimited calls, but only 14 percent subscribe to unlimited data, according to research by Telecompaper. The consumer survey found that data bundles of 5-10 GB are more common, at 18 percent of postpaid subscribers, while 19 percent say they have a plan with over 10 GB per month.

Consumer broadband sore spot for Dutch operators in Q4, time to consider alternative strategies

Revenues at the big Dutch operators were largely positive in the fourth quarter of 2022, with consumer broadband the only notable exception. Dutch mobile services revenue growth accelerates to over 5% in 2022

Growth in mobile service revenues accelerated in the Netherlands in 2022, mainly thanks to the steady shift to postpaid subscriptions, combined with the migration to bigger data plans. Annual service revenues at the three mobile network operators T-Mobile, Vodafone and KPN rose 5.3 percent to EUR 3.9 billion, compared to growth of 3.2 percent in 2021 and declines in the two previous years, the latest research by Telecompaper shows.

Omzetgroei Nederlandse mobiele diensten versnelt tot meer dan 5% in 2022

De groei van inkomsten uit mobiele diensten is in Nederland in 2022 versneld, vooral dankzij de gestage verschuiving naar postpaid-abonnementen, in combinatie met de migratie naar grotere data-abonnementen. De jaarlijkse inkomsten bij de drie mobiele netwerkoperators T-Mobile, Vodafone en KPN stegen met 5,3 procent tot EUR 3,9 miljard, tegen een groei van 3,2 procent in 2021 en dalingen in de twee voorgaande jaren, zo blijkt uit het laatste onderzoek van Telecompaper.
