KPN loses market share in telephony, broadband - Opta

The number of fixed lines in the Netherlands fell to 7.138 million at the end of March, from 7.232 million three months earlier, according to regulator Opta's quarterly monitor. The total includes 3.21 million copper lines and 3.891 million VoIP connections over various types of infrastructure. Seventy percent of Dutch TV connections are digital - study

The number of digital TV connections in the Netherlands grew by 3.8 percent or 204,200 net additions during the first quarter of this year to 5.56 million on 31 March, according to Telecompaper's quarterly Dutch Television Subscribers report. The total digital TV users include 3.16 million cable TV subscribers that have an analogue TV connection as well. Digital TV increased its share of the entire TV market to 70 percent.
