Swisscom opens mobile TV service to non-customers
Swisscom has launched the new Swisscom TV Air free service, which allows non-Swisscom customers to use the TV 2.0 experience on their mobile phones. The service is free of charge via the app and includes popular features such as Replay and programme recording. A small ad is shown when the user changes channel. In addition, Swisscom TV Air free is now offering more channels; users can access 190 TV channels via the Swisscom TV 2.0 app, including 30 hours of Replay. The app also lets viewers record up to 60 hours of their favourite shows and watch them on the go.

Swisscom customers with a Vivo or Natel infinity subscription are not shown any ads on Swisscom TV Air. In order to watch TV on the go, users download the Swisscom TV 2.0 app and sign in via Facebook. The service will initially be available for smartphones and tablets; iOS is currently supported, and Android is set to follow in the next few days. From spring 2016, TV Air free users will be able to use the same account to access these 190 TV channels, including the Replay and recording function, on their laptops and PCs. Around 544,000 customers already use Swisscom TV 2.0 on their laptops, tablets or smartphones.
