The agreement was announced at Telefonica’s second Security Innovation Day, held at its Madrid quarters, during which the operator also revealed that the digital certification and biometric technology of Spanish security company SmartAccess would be integrated into Eleven Paths. In addition, the company launched a new cyber-intelligence product, dubbed Path5, designed to counteract threats in the mobile world. Developed by Eleven Paths, the product facilitates the investigation of mobile application environments by security professionals and experts using its patented big data technology and correlation engine. According to Telefonica, Path5 allows analysts to track the activity of rogue developers, helping them to identify the full range of malicious apps created and significantly reducing the rogue developer’s ability to upload more apps of that nature.
