UPC to launch on Lausanne network in August
UPC Switzerland announced plans to expand its footprint by launching on third-party networks. The first expansion is planned for Lausanne in August, where the cable operator's services will be available for around 90,000 homes on the local fibre network. In total, the company plans to add 200,000 homes to its footprint by the end of 2018 through access to existing networks.

UPC's own cable network covers more than 2 million premises, or just over 60 percent of Swiss homes, and the operator is also expanding its own network.
