Mobile broadband both for laptops and smartphones is growing rapidly as consumer and business user interest increases. .But what is the current status of mobile broadband in the Dutch market? What is the penetration of MBB or smartphones, and what is the interest in purchasing such services among Dutch consumers? Can MBB be seen as a substitute for fixed-line broadband and will the fixed-line operators be hurt by a massive uptake of mobile broadband? The Dutch Mobile Broadband report takes a close look at the penetration of mobile broadband connectivity for laptops (MBB) and smartphones in the Netherlands. The analysis is based on two surveys conducted in November 2009 and during the first quarter of 2010.
